Superior’s Siren Song

Note: Here’s a blog post that got lost in the shuffle. I meant to send this out in September. Ah well, the memories are still good! There’s nothing like plein air painting on sunny, summer mornings along the shores of Lake Superior. That’s what I had the good fortune to be doing after my week of teaching at the Clearing. I painted almost every day, sacrificing only two mornings to grocery shopping and laundry and only a couple of indulgent afternoons to slurping down home-made blueberry pie at a local restaurant. Here’s a sampling:
